Starting at Trends Hair + Nail salon in Swift Current, Sk. I honed my craft alongside talented stylists who are now empowering boss babes in our community. Being a proud step mom to B & K, who are adults now chasing their dreams, and after welcoming our daughter who was born a “micro preemie”, and now a thriving 12-year old, I took 18 months off then returned to my passion with newfound strength and gratitude. I am also a lover of all animals! You’ll always see my Aussiedoodle Echo Blue(3) and my cat Muffin (20) covering my personal insta account.

From creating Maygen Louise Artistry Co in 2014 to moving into a beautiful loft space in 2018, my career has been a joyous ride. I love continual learning and taking classes to ensure I’m up to date on the newest trends in the beauty industry. My loyal clientele, some from the early days, fuel my passion for hair, makeup and sunless tanning, complimenting my work with local and destination brides each year.
Beyond beauty, I’m a travel enthusiast yearning to merge my skills and wanderlust. Certified in makeup artistry since 2013 and tanning since 2017, I continue to learn, grow, and occasionally indulge in photography—another passion that fuels my creativity.
